Dear Anthony,
I cannot really define you as a person, all I know is that you wanted to experience the world and give your love to the world. I could describe the moments we shared, bu words would do not justice. Sometimes it seemed as though it was only boredom that brought up together, I can now see that it was much more than that. You have shown me that sometimes it is not the connection or conversation between two people that really matters, but the sheer presence. Although I did not fully recognize it at the time, getting to know you was truly a blessing. You were part of the most uncertain yet happy chapters within my life, and for that I am grateful. Although your presence can never happen again in a physical sense, in the same way it can never be erased in a spiritual sense.
Anthony, if you're paying attention I would like to make a promise to you: Everything that your presence on earth has taught me is going to be used in order to show others and remind myself that every single moment spent breathing is precious beyond words, regardless of light or dark circumstances. I want you to know that you have shown me that a friendship is a friendship. You have shown me that I must give every person everything that my presence has to offer. I now know that not a single moment should be wasted wishing or hoping I was in anyone else's shoes because you have shown me that life, any life, is priceless and made of gold.
I hope that all of the others who have received your love are able to learn from you as much as I have.
Although I cannot bring you back to this world, I find ease in knowing that you have positively impacted it more that you could have ever imagined. Trust me, you will continue to do so for as long as I am breathing. May your soul rest peacefully in heaven, and comfortably within our hearts.
No matter what the challenge, there is always the other side of what you face.
ANOTHER SIDE
On the other side of hurt is healing.
On the other side of darkness is discovery.
On the other side of trial is triumph.
On the other side of grief is growth.
On the other side of pain in possibility.
On the other side of loss are lessons.
On the other side of wounds is wisdom.
On the other side of failure is fortitude.
On the other side of crying is courage.
No matter what the challenge, there is always the other side of what you face.
The only thing that we can do is be as strong as we can, try the best we can, and continue to give our love for the sake of Anthony and every other being. We are ineffably sad that Anthony's path ended so suddenly. But we are also ineffably blissful because we have been a part of it, and for the fact that it still lives within our hearts and minds.
